Debian ported to G1 Android

iPhone hacker Jay Freeman (aka saurik, author of such iPhone programs as Cydia, Cycorder, and WinterBoard) has successfully managed to get a Debian distro running on the G1. And the best part? It runs in full harmony with Android - you lose no functionality.

Why? Seems a lot of people’s first response to jailbreaking the G1, or even something as huge as installing Debian to it is “Why? Android is open source, right?” The same reason we “jailbreak” the G1 in the first place - while Google is non-evilly open with Android’s source, they most certainly have not allowed anyone to get root on the G1 and use the device to its full potential. Without full access to the phone’s software and hardware, a lot isn’t possible, notably video recording (”there’s no way in hell you could do video compression fully in software fully on dalvik” is how saurik put it) as well as any type of graphical theming/skinning.

The process is a bit involved, but easy enough to follow along with. If you’re not comfortable with the command line, you may feel a bit out of water here - you’re going to need to use it to make this happen. Of course, if you’re not familiar with command line, there’s no reason for you to jailbreak your G1 anyway yet.

Ini kue ultahnya dari kita2

iPhone Bluetooth unlock, wew…

Berdasarkan website dari: www.spaziocellulare.com yang mengatakan salah satu user mereka yang bernama MeDevil sedang mengerjakan untuk  mengunlock bluetooth dari iPhone. Karena seperti kita ketahui salah satu kelemahan dari iPhone adalah tidak bisa transfer data melalui bluetooth.

Mereka yang tergabung dalam project ini mengatakan mendapatkan progress yang sangat menarik melalui aplikasi yang dikembangkan oleh MeDevil dan terminal dimana mereka dapat mencari dan menemukan 2 perangkat bluetooth lainnya ( hp sonyericsson dan hackintosh) melalui iPhone.

Beberapa detail dari hasil yang mereka capai:

1. We have been able to initialise bluetooth in objective-c, linking to apples private frameworks, through only reverse engineering.
2. We were able to talk in raw Host Controller Interface code, i.e. close to binary communications, using only POSIX functions that are available in any standard C library.
3. To do that we had to initialise the BlueCore6-ROM type integrated circuit found on the iPhone 3g over a UART transport, formulate HCI packets and read the response.

Mudah2an mereka ini berhasil dalam project yang cukup menggembirakan kalau berhasil ( akhirnya iPhone bisa A2DP wkwkwwk… )

Rekam Pembicaraan Telepon

iVoice..

Saat ini iXtensions sedang mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi yang saya rasa bisa booming dan banyak diminati iPhone user, iVoice dapat digunakan sebagai Dictaphone. Alternatively, iVoice bisa merekam incoming and outgoing calls untuk contacts yang telah ditentukan. File rekaman pembicaraan akan tersimpan dalam format mp3. File tersebut akan tersimpan di iPhone dan playable melalui iVoice dan di kelompokan berdasarkan contacts. Di fitur yang akan datang akan disiapkan sebuah interface untuk sinkronisasi dengan Mac/PC.

Aplikasi ini akan tersedia di installer.

iPhone aspal di Rusia lebih parah daripada China

Ini sih lebih parah daripada iPhone aspal dari China. Dimana dalemannya kagak ada isinya alias kosong melompong. Jadi cuma casing aja.

Cara ngejualnya juga unik banget, dimana pemilik iPhone aspal tersebut tiba-tiba menghampiri kita dan mengatakan bahwa dia punya iPhone dan mau dijual tapi dalam keadaan kehabisan batere tapi kalo dipencet tombol on nya bisa keliatan logo Applenya sebentar nyala lalu mati.

Jadi kalau kita tertipu dan membelinya, sampai dirumah waktu mau di charge ternyata nga bisa. Dan setelah dibongkar beginilah hasilnya: cuma ada 2 batere dan lampu yg nyalain tuh Apple logo dan pemberat yang membuat iPhone aspal tersebut seperti asli.

Bermain game lebih asik dengan gamepad

Kurang tau juga ni siapa yg design dan dijual dimana. Tidak tertulis secara jelas juga kapan akan dijual dan dengan harga berapa. Jadi nikmati dulu aja ya foto-fotonya.

Microsoft Office Editor di iPhone

Akhirnya yang di tunggu2 datang juga, DataViz sedang mempersiapkan  Microsoft Word, Excel, dan Powerpoint Editor untuk iPhone( iWork kapan ya ? ).
