Langkah Demi Langkah Unlock 3G dengan yellowsn0w

Sebelum mengikuti langkah-langkah di bawah ini, kalian harus melakukan jailbreak iPhone 3G kalian dan sudah di baseband 02.28.00 (modem firmware). Ini artinya iPhone 3G kalian harus berada di firmware 2.2. Kalau kalian menggunakan PwnageTool untuk update dari 2.1 ke 2.2 maka kalian harus jailbreak ulang menggunakan QuickPwn.

Step 1: Lauch Cydia Installer dari Springboard.

Step 2: Pilih tab Manage di bagian bawah screen.

Step 3: Pilih Sources.

Step 4: Pilih tombol Edit di bagian kanan atas screen.

Step 5: Pilih tombol Add di bagian kiri atas screen.

Step 6: Ketik http://apt9.yellowsn0w.com/ sebagai source url dan tekan   tombol Add Source.

Step 7: Setelah source ditambahkan tekan tombol besar Retun to Cydia.

Step 8: Pilih tombol Done di bagian kanan atas screen.

Step 9: Pilih apt9.yellowsn0w.com dari user list.

Step 10: Pilih yellowsnow dari list.

Step 11: Pilih tombol Install di bagian kanan atas screen.

Step 12: Pilih tombol Confirm di bagian kanan atas screen.

Step 13: Setelah instalasi selesai pilih tombol besar Retun to Cydia.

Step 14: Sekarang pilih Home button lalu power off dan power on iPhone kamu. Kamu lakukan ini dengan menahan tombol power selama 3 detik dan geser power slider ke sebelah kanan. Tekan sekali lagi tombol power untuk menghidupkan iPhone kamu.

Step 15: Abrakadabra!!! Sekarang iPhone 3G kamu sudah ter unlock.

iPhone 3G Unlock Live Demo!

MuscleNerd, akan menunjukkan video live demo iPhone 3G yang telah di unlock menggunakan yellowsn0w yang di jalankan dari aplikasi Qik di iPhone.

Berikut ini pernyataan dari Dev-Team mengenai hal ini:

This week’s DevTeam Funday features a live demo of yellowsn0w!
MuscleNerd will use Qik to broadcast a live video and audio stream (from an iPhone 2G) of an iPhone 3G being soft-unlocked with yellowsn0w. He’s in Florida for the holidays so there won’t actually be any snow in the live demo (although strangely enough if he were back home in Los Angeles he’d be very close to snow this week!).
Qik creates a chatroom for its videos but it may not be feasible to field questions live from the chatroom. So if you have a question that hasn’t already been answered in our previous blog posts, please tweet them in advance to Musclenerd.
We’re aiming to do the live demo in about 12 hours, or 3PM EST. The actual URL will be tweeted via MuscleNerd’s twitter account just as it starts.

Here is a short video from MuscleNerd’s Qik account that has some preliminary information that relates to his AT&T SIM card. This also demonstrates the video and sound quality that you should expect during the demonstration. We plan to capture the VNC session that you can see in the background so that we can post a more detailed video later.

iMobileCinema adalah  plugin untuk MobileSafari yang bisa memutar video dalam bentuk flash (flv) di iPhone kamu. Kamu bisa menonton video dari site podcast atau blog dengan menggunakan iMobileCinema seperti Google Video, Youtube dan lainnya.

Versi beta dari iMobileCinema baru saja direlease untuk Firmware 2.x dan dapat di instal melalui Cydia dengan menambah source di d.imobilecinema.com.

iPhone 3G memasuki pasar ponsel Taiwan

Satu lagi negara Asia yang dijabanin iPhone yaitu Taiwan. Tapi sepertinya tidak pernah ingat kalau Taiwan masuk ke dalam list negara-negara yang akan didatangi iPhone 3G.

Tapi ya begitulah kenyataannya, Taiwan mendapat jatah iPhone 3G juga.

Bagaimana dengan Indonesia ya? Gue sih berharap China juga kebagian jatah heheheh….

Linux hits the iPhone!

Akhirnya datang juga hari yang di tunggu-tunggu oleh semua penggemar Linux dan iPhone, yaitu Dev Team berhasil menyusupi iPhone dengan Linux. Walau masih berupa busy box tapi ini merupakan big step untuk menuju Android terpasang secara dualboot di iPhone kesayangan kita.

Surga hacking akhirnya datang juga, horayyy

I’m pleased to announce that the Linux 2.6 kernel has been ported to Apple’s iPhone platform, with support for the first and second generation iPhones as well as the first generation iPod touch. This is a rough first draft of the port, and many drivers are still missing, but it’s enough that a real alternative operating system is running on the iPhone.

What we have:
- Framebuffer driver
- Serial driver
- Serial over USB driver
- Interrupts, MMU, clock, etc.

What we have in openiboot (but hasn’t been ported yet):
- Read-only support for the NAND

What we don’t have (yet!):
- Write support for the NAND
- Wireless networking
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Accelerometer
- Baseband support

The current userland we’re using, in the interest of expedience, is a Busybox installation created with buildroot, but glibc works fine as well, and we’re going to build a more permanent userland solution.

Dan dengan digunakannya teknologi N-Trig’s DuoSense, membuat kita bisa menggunakan jari tangan atau pen (stylus). Sangat impressive. Walaupun harus di akui dari sisi style masih jauh di bandingkan dengan MacBook dari Apple. Price tag dimulai di USD 1,149.
